Acer Iconia Tab A200 now available to order in the UK for 299 If you're in the UK and have been waiting for Acer's new and affordable Android tablet to become available, the wait is finally over. With a slight caveat.

The Acer Iconia Tab A200, which was announced at the beginning of this month, can now be ordered in the UK. It is quite a bit cheaper than similar tablets, but it will be shipping “by January 6, 2012″. We don't know if that “by” in there is supposed to mean that there's a small chance you'll get it earlier than January 6, but we wouldn't risk hoping for that. So just assume it will be at your doorstep in ten days.

As for the price, it's £299 as you can see, which is about £100 cheaper than similarly specced tablets. That said, those similar offerings do usually come with 16 GB of built-in storage, whereas the Iconia Tab A200 only has 8 GB. And it doesn't have a rear camera, like the competition (yet it does come with a front-facing unit for video calls and such). So take that into account when deciding whether to purchase one or not.

Because aside from that, this is basically your run of the mill Android tablet. The Nvidia Tegra 2 processor is in there, as are 1 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth support, a 10.1-inch 1280×800 touchscreen, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5 mm headset jack.

Very.co.uk is where you should go to order yours in black or red

I hope the above information about the latest gadgets tablet computers can provide the knowledge for you about the latest developments tablet computer. The price of the tablet PC depending on the brand, model and specifications.

HP TouchPad Go receives its first and possibly only review
The HP TouchPad Go was canned by HP when they decided to stop making webOS devices a few months ago, but fortunately, a handful of the TouchPad Go prototype devices managed to make their way into the wild, surfacing in the hands of various people. Well the folks over at webosnation managed to get their hands on one of these rare webOS tablets and decided to review the tablet after spending a few days with it.

According to them, “The TouchPad Go will not be the saving grace of webOS, and we doubt it could have been. It's a fine tablet for what it is, but it would have had serious trouble competing with the likes of the Amazon Kindle, Nook Tablet, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus”.

Taihe era's 7″ tablet is a pretty convincing Galaxy Tab clone
China has produced some pretty innovative phones of their own, such as the Meizu and Xiaomi, but they have also managed to pull off some pretty impressive clones, and upon first glance you could be forgiven for thinking that the tablet pictured above is the Samsung Galaxy Tab Android tablet.

In fact what you are looking at above is Taihe era's attempt at creating a Samsung Galaxy Tab clone, which the company boasts will be able to support both GSM and China's very own TD-SCDMA EVDO 3G standard. As far as its specs are concerned, it features a 7x800×480 display with a Qualcomm 7627 processor under the hood. It will also feature an Adreno 200 GPU, 512MB of RAM, 512MB of internal storage that can be expanded via an SD card.

It will also feature a rear-facing camera, four capacitive function keys much like the original Galaxy Tab and based on the screenshots of the device, it appears to be running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. No word on how much it will cost, but then again it's highly unlikely we will be seeing this device arrive stateside anyway.

Tablet PC is a portable computer. Tablet PC uses touch screen technology with the ability of writing cognition, is the ability to write directly on the screen. Here you will find the latest information about the advantages, specifications, prices and latest news about the development of the tablet computer world. The following are the latest information about Ubislate 7 is next cheap tablet for India, please read below.

India already has had its first government sponsored tablet in the form of the Aakash, and here we are with a second model known as the Ubislate 7. This particular tablet also hails from hardware manufacturer Datawind, where it will sport 7″ of viewing goodness thanks to an 800 x 480 resolution touchscreen display. Running on a Cortex A8 700MHz processor (compared that to the 300MHz ARM11 processor on the Aakash), you know this is going to be far beefier, complete with GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity, HD video playback support, 256MB RAM, a USB 2.0 port, and 2GB of internal memory which can be augmented by a microSD memory card. Android 2.3 Gingerbread ships with the system, although we do wonder why it did not come with Android 3.0 Honeycomb instead, which is tablet-centric.

Hopefully with a couple of cheap tablets having rolled out in India, the world will not get the impression that everything there is cheap. After all, the top 50 richest people in the world do have some notable names from India, and if you were to take a look at their lifestyle, it is anything but cheap. We do hope that the Ubislate 7 will take off in a big way though, and it might prove to be a working model for other developing countries. Expect the Ubislate 7 to arrive in India next month.

Here you will find the latest information about the advantages, specifications, prices and latest news about the development of the tablet computer world. The following are the latest information about JingXing S7100: an Android tablet for gaming, please read below.

It looks like the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY isn't going to be the dedicated Android gaming device on the block, a company named JingXing has decided to step into that niche with a device of its own: the JingXing S7100. However, the S7100 isn't a phone and takes the form factor of tablet instead, and features gamepad controls on the sides of the display.

While the specs of the device weren't revealed, it will be running on Android (as evident by the dedicated Android buttons on the bottom of the device and the Android logo on the back), and will feature a rear camera and a front facing camera. The tablet's gamepad gives users a 4-way D-pad, 4 regular buttons (circle, triangle, square, x), as well as start and select. No sign of shoulder buttons, so I guess you'll need to use onscreen controls for those.

Don't expect to have a dedicated app store like the Xperia PLAY/PlayStation Vita – but you can be pretty sure that ROM emulators are going to be this tablet's best friends. No word on pricing or availability, but we'll keep you posted if it turns up on this side of the world. It's always interesting to see tablet manufacturers putting their own spin on Android devices - with the plethora of tablets available on the market today, they need to find a way to stand out somehow.

Here you will find the latest information about the advantages, specifications, prices and latest news about the development of the tablet computer world. The Motorola XOOM is the first tablet to get Android Honeycomb, and it looks like it will be one of the first tablets to get Ice Cream Sandwich as well. The folks over at XDA-developers have managed to come up with an almost fully working version of Ice Cream Sandwich for the Motorola XOOM, and according to reports online it's working pretty well. There are minor quirks like Netflix, the camera, calendar syncing, and gyroscope not working properly but all in all it seems to be stable enough for daily use.

The custom ROM requires you to have a rooted/unlocked XOOM, but installation is a simple affair with you needing to just booting into recovery, making a backup, wiping your system and flashing the files. The end result? A functional version of Ice Cream Sandwich on your XOOM. At the moment it is only for the WiFi version of the tablet, so WiFi + 3G XOOM owners will have to wait. Hopefully an official update from Google/Motorola will roll out for the tablet in the near future.

Kindle Fire Software Update Doesn't Fix Laggy Browser

Posted by Japrax

Tablet PC is a portable computer. Tablet PC uses touch screen technology with the ability of writing cognition, is the ability to write directly on the screen. Tablet computers are generally not equipped with a keyboard because it has a touchscreen keyboard. Here you will find the latest information about the advantages, specifications, prices and latest news about the development of the tablet computer world. The following are the latest information about Kindle Fire Software Update Doesn't Fix Laggy Browser, please read below.

As reported earlier Tuesday, Amazon has released a software update for its Kindle Fire tablet, promising enhanced “fluidity and performance” and improved “touch navigation responsiveness.” But nowhere in its update language does Amazon speak to improvements in the speed of its Silk browser.

As it turns out, the new software update doesn't seem to improve browser performance to a significant degree. And that's a shame, because laggy web-page load times are a real problem for Amazon's tablet.

When I reviewed the Fire a little less than five weeks ago, I found the tablet's browser performance to be bizarrely, inexplicably slow. The Fire, after all, has a 1GHz dual-core processor, just like the iPad 2 and all the Android/Honeycomb competitors. So on processing power alone, the Fire should have all the hardware it needs to deliver fast web browsing.

What's more, the Fire is also supported by Amazon's much-ballyhooed Silk technology, which splits processing and data-fetching workloads between the tablet itself and the cloud. As Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos stated in a Sept. 28 press release before the Fire's launch, “We refactored and rebuilt the browser software stack and now push pieces of the computation into the [Amazon Web Services] cloud. When you use Silk — without thinking about it or doing anything explicit — you're calling on the raw computational horsepower of Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud to accelerate your web browsing.”

On paper, Silk web browsing sounds marvelous. But when I tested the Kindle Fire in November, I found page load times to be double and sometimes triple that of an iPad 2.

So, now, some five weeks later and updated for improved performance, how does the Kindle Fire stand up? After all, it's not only received a software update to improve “fluidity and performance,” but the Silk browsing architecture has theoretically had time to “learn” the browsing behaviors of all Kindle Fire owners.

As Amazon describes it, “Traditional browsers must wait to receive the HTML file in order to begin downloading the other page assets. Silk is different because it learns these page characteristics automatically by aggregating the results of millions of page loads and maintaining this knowledge on EC2 [Elastic Compute Cloud].”

I'm sorry to report that even after updating my tablet to the 6.2.1 OS build, Fire page loads still lag significantly behind the very same loads on iPad 2.

Yes, it appears the Fire's browsing performance has improved, and during testing I didn't see 300 percent performance gaps between the Fire and iPad 2. But the numbers I've collected still indicate the Fire isn't delivering on Amazon's silky promises.

Below are some specific page load comparisons. Before testing anything, I cleared each tablet's browser cache and history. For each test, I loaded a site's URL into the browser's address bar, and used a stopwatch to measure the time between hitting “go” on the onscreen keyboard, and when the very last object loaded in the page. Load times are measured in seconds; lower scores are better.

Wired.com — Fire: 7.1; iPad 2: 5.2

NFL.com — Fire: 13.6; iPad 2: 11.0

NBA.com — Fire: 13.6; iPad 2: 5.3

Microsoft.com — Fire: 5.4; iPad 2: 2.6

TheVerge.com — Fire: 13.4; iPad 2: 11.1

BoingBoing.net — Fire: 20.0; iPad 2: 13.8

Imdb.com — Fire: 9.8; iPad 2: 5.3

BBC.co.uk — Fire: 8.0; iPad 2: 6.6

Yahoo.com — Fire: 5.8; iPad 2: 2.7

Amazon.com — Fire: 8.5; iPad 2: 4.6

I'll be the first to concede my testing lacks a number of important controls. While I tested both tablets just two feet away from a Wi-Fi router, I didn't test each page load simultaneously, but rather sequentially — and varying server loads on the content-provider end can affect browser load times. And, of course, I used a simple stopwatch, not sensitive testing equipment, to measure page load times.

Nonetheless, my testing backs up my own anecdotal user experience: Web browsing on the Kindle Fire is still palpably slower than on the iPad 2. I'm no longer seeing page loads that take three times longer, but the performance delta still ranges from “noticeable” to some 200 percent.

Fire apologists will try to “explain away” the poor performance by reminding critics that the tablet is still only $200, a veritable impulse buy. And even I will concede that the Fire offers a nice set of features for its low entry price. Nonetheless, Amazon has celebrated Silk as breakthrough technology that supercharges browser performance, and nothing about the Kindle Fire experience delivers on that promise.

I hope the above information about the latest gadgets tablet computers can provide the knowledge for you about the latest developments tablet computer. The price of the tablet PC depending on the brand, model and specifications.

The folks over at Shenzen, China, have come up with a tablet that has a particularly large viewing real estate – we are talking about 9.7″ of viewing goodness here, crammed into a model that is simply called the N19+. This particular model is manufactured by the Shenzhen-based Aocos, sporting an exterior that will certainly not look out of place when it is positioned beside other established brands, especially those from South Korea and Japan.

Apart from the behemoth-like 9.7″ display, the N19+ will also be able to support 10-point touch, which is more than what I can say for other tablets in the market. Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread as the operating system of choice, I am rather disappointed that it did not come with Android 3.0 Honeycomb which is tablet centric. It must be said that the Kindle Touch e-book reader from Amazon is not exactly the beefiest kid on the block when it comes to system specifications and hardware performance, but that does not mean it is a slouch in its performance, either. No sir, you won't find Google's Android operating system running on the Kindle Touch, but that does not mean the Kindle Touch has been banished to development hell by the homebrew community. No sir, developer Yifan Lu has come up with a method to “jailbreak” the Kindle Touch – and the method of doing so is so simple, you might have kicked yourself wondering why didn't you think of it before to lay claim to your 15 minutes of fame.

All you need to do is simply download an MP3 file, and play it on the Kindle Touch. Yes sir, this MP3 file is special since it will include custom ID3 tags that execute commands on the Kindle Touch. Since the Kindle Touch's user interface is mostly written in HTML5 as well as Javascript, those who want to unlock the Kindle Touch will be able to “inject” some custom HTML thanks to the experimental MP3 player from Amazon that can be exploited in its software.

Motorola DROID XYBOARD 8.2 hands-on

Tablet computers are generally not equipped with a keyboard because it has a touchscreen keyboard. Here you will find the latest information about the advantages, specifications, prices and latest news about the development of the tablet computer world. The following are the latest information about Motorola DROID XYBOARD 8.2 hands-on, please read below.

We just got our hands on one of Motorola's latest tablets, the Motorola DROID XYBOARD 8.2. Besides the name, there seems to be a lot to like at first glance. For starters, Motorola has picked a near-perfect size for this tablet. At 8.2-inches, the XYBOARD seems like a perfect and portable tablet. It's reasonably fast, though we've noticed some lag in the UI when browsing, or doing other tasks. One thing we're just not understanding is the landscape orientation push. It feels unnatural to hold a tablet that has a widescreen proportion in landscape most of the time, though clearly that's what Motorola intended with the XOOM and now XYBOARDs. There's also the issue of the black bezel being almost too narrow to hold comfortably with two hands in portrait orientation, though because the device is so incredibly light, there really hasn't been any fatigue yet in a little bit of usage. With the tapered edges, and the extremely thin and feather light design, this could be a huge winner at an extremely different price point. Maybe at $199 or $249, but not at $429 with a two-year agreement from Verizon, that's just crazy talk. Stay tuned for coverage of the Motorola DROID XYBOARD 10.1 tablet and, of course, the review

Here you will find the latest information about the advantages, specifications, prices and latest news about the development of the tablet computer world. The following are the latest information about Ainovo Novo7 Tablet Reviews, please read below.

A China-made Android tablet may not set to become the next big thing in tablets despite its $99 price tag, but there are two things that may pique your interest to the Ainovo Novo7. First, it runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Second is that it is built on MIPS architecture.

Even if your criteria for a good tablet is that it can play Angry Birds or supports Netflix, the Ainovo Novo7 has the potential to become a very reliable tablet even if it designed with the Chinese market in mind. It is no question that its Ice Cream Sandwich OS make this tablet more advanced than your basic Android Gingerbread slates whose updates may take a while to launch. The latest Android OS comes with new features, performance improvements, and the ability to unify the disparate platforms found in previous versions. The 7-inch tablet comes with access to Google services, although Market is restricted in China.

Another feature worth noting in Ainovo Novo7 is its MIPS architecture, which is an alternative to x86 found in our computers and the ARM found in smartphones and tablets. The MIPS was created as part of China's efforts to avoid reliance on “western-owned technologies.” This is why it is not a surprise why the tablet comes with Ingenic processor, which is developed and manufactured in China.

Although it may be highly unlikely to see the Ainovo Novo7 outside China, you can hope for retail sites to offer the tablet for international buyers.

Here you will find the latest information about the advantages, specifications, prices and latest news about the development of the tablet computer world. The following are the latest information about Archos 101 G9 Turbo arrives, please read below.

Remember the good old days when computers had this “Turbo” button which you could press to experience a boost in speed? Surely folks who played games by loading them into memory through the use of floppy disks will be able to identify with what I am talking about. After all, it took forever to load the game “Gods” by the Bitmap Brothers on a 286, and pressing the Turbo button on the computer after the game has loaded made it a nigh impossible albeit fun. Well, there is no such thing as a Turbo button in today's modern computers, but when it comes to tablets, Archos of France has a different idea. Sure, there is no button to press for a boost in speed, but Archos decided to inject some “oomph!” into the Archos 101 G9 Turbo by offering a 1.2GHz dual core processor inside, giving it a 200MHz advantage over its predecessor.

Apart from that, storage space has also seen a jump to 16GB from 8GB in the previous model. Other than these two internal changes in specifications, everything else on the outside looks the same, including its 10.1″ display, Wi-Fi connectivity and Android 3.2 Honeycomb as the operating system of choice. Expect to fork out £299.99 or €349.99 for this puppy if you are interested.
